Collaborative Environmental Science Courses: Bridging between Undergraduate Research into Energy Issues in Malaysia and the United States

With support from the EnviroLab Asia initiative at Claremont Colleges, I redeveloped my Environmental Chemistry course for undergraduates to focus on environmental issues in Asia. collaborated with a colleague Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) who was teaching similar master’s-level students Bangi, Malaysia. Our worked projects together comparing different aspects of renewable energy two countries. At end semester, traveled UKM symposium colleague’s and continued working their research turn them into publishable papers. The Colleges greatly benefited both academic cultural learning that occurred during our travel. am currently developing network faculty universities Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies have work data-gathering and/or analysis can be useful policymaking by APEC Energy Working Group.
